Whether you’re about that life, nightlife that is or family fellowship, I have several places for you and your family to venture out to throughout this holiday season. From dashing through the snow (oh yes, there really is snow in The ATL) to the little red nose reindeer, Rudolph that is, Atlanta has it all, and I’m going to cover a few of the favorites just for you.
One of my favorite holiday season activity is looking at beautiful Christmas lights and decorations. So this brings me to Magical Nights of Lights in Margaritaville at Lanier Island. This is a 7-mile tour of a breathtaking magical light show. This is a must see! They also have License to Chill Snow Island where you can find plenty of snow. This is their new attraction, and it is one of the fastest snow tubing hills in North America, measuring 575 feet long and 8 stories high. Don’t miss the carnival rides, ice skating rink, fire pit and photos with Santa.
Another place you would enjoy during the holiday season is the World of Coco-Cola. The holidays are in full swing at these must-see attractions. Attractions come complete with dazzling lights and decorations, plenty of seasonal beverages and special exhibits. Some of the limited-time exhibits include “History of the Coca-Cola Santa” and “A Coca-Cola Christmas Celebration.” You Coca-Cola lovers can enjoy two seasonal holiday flavors: Gingerbread Coke, and new this year, Sprite Butter Toffee. So take out the time to have fun at the World of Coke!
For all you thrill seekers – Six flags Holiday in the Park — named One of the Best Christmas Events in Georgia — is back for the 6th year in a row. So if you are about that family fellowship, this is a wonderful event to take part in for the entire family. This event will only last until January 5th so don’t miss out.
The Center for Puppetry Arts
The Center for Puppetry Arts is holding its annual production of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Based on the beloved 1964 stop-motion animated special, you and the entire family will enjoy. In this production, Rudolph and his friends Hermey the Elf and Yukon Cornelius brave the Abominable Snow Monster and the even more daunting fear of not fitting in before discovering that it’s okay to be just the way they are! You have until December 29th to enjoy this exciting production.
This is a family-favorite tradition filled with your favorite holiday characters, festive music and beautiful Christmas lights. You can enjoy park attractions including Summit Skyride, Scenic Railroad, and more! Enjoy Stone Mountain Christmas up until January 5, 2020.
